Seasonal Maintenance Technician I

This position will perform a variety of tasks which include but are not limited to mowing & trimming and general park maintenance. Approximately 32-40 hours per week. Schedule includes occasional evenings, weekends and holidays. Must be 18 or older with a valid driver’s license.

Do you have free time and want to give back to your community?  Volunteering is a great way to get involved.  These projects are perfect for adults, students, scout groups, organizations, and families (children under 10 need to be with an adult). • 4/14, 2:30-4:30pm - Assist during Snakes, Salamanders and Frogs, Oh My! program at the Community Center
• 4/20, 9:30am-7pm or 4/21,11:30am-6pm - Assist with the park district booth at Sugar Maple Festival at Bellbrock Park
• 5/9 or 6/13, 4:15-5:45pm - Assist the Park Cleanup volunteers at Kehl Park
• 5/11, 6:30-8:30pm - Assist during Fabulous Fossils program at Magee Park
• 5/18, 8:30-11:30pm - Assist during Stargazing program at the Washington Milk Park
• 6/7, 1:30-3:30pm - Assist during Welcome Summer Fun program at the Community Center
• 6/10-8/16, various dates and times available - Assist with Art in the Park, Nature Explorers, Playground Club and Kamp Kehl! programs (volunteers 18 and older need a completed fingerprint/ background check)
• 6/12, 9:30-11:30am - Assist with Nifty Nature Games at Petrikis Park
• 6/15, 12:30-2:30pm - Assist with Stream Water Quality at the Community Center
• 6/17-6/20, 1:30-4:30pm - Assist with Creative Fun with Paper Camp
• 6/20, 7/18, 8/15, 6:30-8:30pm - Assist with Music in the Park Concert Series at Bellbrock Park
• 7/2, 3-6pm - Assist with activities at Family Water Game Day at Sackett-Wright Park
• 7/3, 3:30-6:30pm - Assist with activities at the Patriots Festival at Bellbrock Park
• 7/5, 10:30am-1pm - Assist with All-American Art Adventure at Bellbrock Park
• 7/22-7/25, 9:30am-1pm - Assist with Exciting World of Science at Magee Park
• 7/25, 9:30am-11:30am - Assist with Incredible Bug Bonanza at the Gooding Addition
• 7/26 or 8/2, 10:30-12:30 - Assist with activities during the preschool programs at Magee Park
• 8/3, 8-10pm - Assist with Night Hike at the Community Center/Gooding Addition
• 8/12-8/15, 1:30-4:30pm - Assist with Creative Fun with Paper Camp
• 8/13, 9-11am - Assist with Monarch Madness at Petrikis Park
