Wellness Screenings 

Thursdays, 9/9/10, 10/14/10, 11/11/10 (No dermascans), and 12/9/10

Come out on the second Thursday of each month to have your blood pressure and blood sugar checked.  Dermascans will also be available.  This screening tool helps to alert people to the existence of possible sun damage to the skin on their face. The Dermascan operates with a black light and it emits no radiation.  The Wells Institute for Health Awareness and OSU Extension – Greene County will provide this community service.  No registration required.  Free Event!

Stroller Fit Walks

Wednesdays, 9/15/10 and 10/6/10

Parents or caregivers can get their hearts pounding once a month during our stroller fit walks. Your toddler will enjoy nature while you take a brisk hike led by a park district staff member. Improving your health can be fun outside. Participants must provide their own stroller. This program will be cancelled during inclement weather. No registration required.

A.S.S.E.R.T Women/Teen: Active & Simple Safety Education Response Training for Women/Teens

Saturday, 10/9/10

Ease your mind, increase your feeling of safety and reduce your fear. In this dynamic course, adult women and young women ages 13and older will learn how to become safer. Includes an interactive talk time with powerpoint, a physical skill development session which includes a course of exercises to help reinforce the learning process and build confidence and a one on one time to put all skills into action. Arm yourself with one of the most important tools you will learn in your lifetime and one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself and your family - YOUR SAFETY.
