Our Fine Feathered Friends

Sunday, 9/26/10

Naturalist, Kendra Schide will teach you and your family all there is to know about birds. Exploration of feathers, nests, and bird mounts will be included along with a fun ornithological game. A short walk will follow the presentation. Don’t forget to bring binoculars if you have them. No registration required.

Park Cleanup Day

Wednesday, 10/6/10

Come out to help clean up Kehl Park. Gloves and trash bags will be provided.  We’ll meet at the shelter. Register by 10/5/10.

Ages: For all ages (children under 8 needs to be with an adult)

Stargazing 

Saturday, 11/13/10

Families are invited to join members of the Miami Valley Astronomical Society (MVAS) for an evening of stargazing.  You’ll have the opportunity to view the beautiful night sky through their various telescopes.  Indoor astronomy activities will also be available.  No registration required.

Eco-Explorer Badge Program

Schedule by appt after school (allow for 2 hours)

Your brownie troop is invited to attend this special program. Activities will be planned in order to complete the Eco-Explorer Badge. The event will be held rain or shine – so dress for the weather. An adult is required to stay with their troop or individual scout that registers. Space is limited. Please register in advance.

Ages: 2nd and 3rd graders
