Be a Lion, Tiger, or Bear...Oh My! – Parent and child Yoga class 

Thursdays, 9/4/08- 10/9/08 

TIME:      5:00-6:30p

COST:     $60.00 for adults and $20 for children

Children are invited to discover yoga with their parent.  During this session you’ll learning about yoga postures, exercises, games, and health education that mimic plants, animals, and objects. Don’t forget your beach towel or mat.  INSTRUCTOR: Steve Chappell. For ages 7 -10.

Teddy Bear Picnic

Friday, 9/12/08  

Bring your favorite teddy bear and join us for a “bear-y” good time.  Meet new friends, play games, make a craft and have lots of fun.  An adult companion must attend.  Registration is required by 9/10/08.

A.S.S.E.R.T. Kids: Active & Simple Safety Education Response Training for Kids

Saturday, 9/13/2008                                                                                                       

This three-hour informative and interactive personal safety program will dramatically increase your child’s ability to stay safe by teaching your child how to get help when in trouble, how to identify “bad” people, how to say “no” and mean it, how to respond to a bully and much, much more.  Participants will receive the e-book “How to Create Incredibly Safe Kids,” a certificate of completion, an ASSERT Kids patch and a 12-year child ID card. Instructor: Safety Consulting Group.  Register by 9/5/08.

Join us for a Thanksgiving celebration!  Play turkey games, make fall crafts and harvest some holiday fun. An adult companion must attend. Register by 11/13/08.

Babysitting Class

Tuesday, 11/15/08 (Register by 11/7/08)    

Learn the responsibilities and qualities of being a good babysitter and what to expect from the person in need of a babysitter.  This course teaches basic care, what safe play is, first aid, professionalism and tips on finding babysitting jobs.  Learn what every parent wants in a responsible babysitter. Participants receive certificates of completion.  Taught by an authorized Red Cross instructor.  Don’t forget to bring a sack lunch, a baby doll & a toy.  For ages 11 – 15.

Cost: $50.00 with Babysitter’s Backpack

The Gift

Help decorate our “Nature Tree” and listen to holiday music and stories. Bring a small gift (non-gender specific) to share in the gift exchange and learn about the gift of giving.  Register by 12/11/08.
