Family Movie Night

NEW! 2013 dates!

Fridays, 3/22, 4/12, 5/17, 6/14, 7/12, 8/9, 9/13, 10/11, 11/8, & 12/13

We will cozy up to watch a family friendly movie with popcorn and drinks. We will also have trivia and raffles each month for all participants. Family Movie Night is designed to designate a Friday each month for families to come together and have fun! For every movie that your family is able to attend you will earn a point. Families can earn additional points for correct answers on the movie trivia sheet that is provided each time you check in for the movie. At the end of the year (December's movie) we will collect all of the family score cards and calculate each family's/ team's overall points; whoever has the most points overall will win a Family Fun Night Grand Prize! Don’t forget to bring a pillow or blanket to get comfy. Registration is preferred for food head counts; however walk-ins are MORE than welcome to stop in for the movie. The more the merrier for this event!

Spring book, CD, and movie swap

Do you have any books, CDs or DVDs you don’t use anymore? Participate in our swap! Every item you donate to the swap you will receive a ticket to select another item at the event. Please bring your items (up to a PG-13 rating) to the Community Center by 4:30p on 5/6/13. Remaining items from the swap will be donated.

Music in the Park Concert Series

The 2013 Music in the Park Concert Series is in downtown Bellbrock Park for the Summer season! The rain location will be the Community Center for the July and August concerts. Each show is a FREE event for all ages. Don’t forget your lawn chairs or blankets!

The Centerville Community Band is an all-volunteer group with musicians from throughout the Miami Valley. Their director Clair Miller, was the former director of bands at the University of Dayton and the Dayton Philharmonic Band. The Centerville Community Band performs big band tunes, show tunes, marches, patriotic, and seasonal music throughout the year.

The Rejects are a 6 piece rock-n-roll band that has been entertaining the Dayton, Ohio Ohio area for more than 37 years. They play a variety of music from the 60’s - present day. The rejects Rejects always put on a fun family show, involving the audience and featuring kazoos, as well as traditional rock band instruments. The Rejects are a legit garage band who will make any event or venue a party. Experience the Rejects!!

The Sauerkraut German Band was organized in 1973 by seven civilian and military members of the U.S. Air Force Foreign Technology Division at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. They’ve now expanded to 15 musicians, including retired or active duty military and civilian personnel from Wright-Patterson and other professions. You’ll be entertained by polkas, waltzes, schottisches, marches, and specialty numbers in traditional “oompah” style along with many of the big band sounds of the ‘40s and ‘50s. They are a very versatile band, featuring many vocal and instrumental solos.


Family Water Game Day

Cool off at Sackett -Wright Park by soaking the ones you love with water balloons and other water related competitions! We will supply the water and plenty of family friendly activities and light competitions to cool off this holiday week! Register your family by 6/28/13.

Patriot's Festival

Celebrate the Red, White and Blue with a festival in downtown Bellbrock Park! Games, crafts and all-American fun! Bring an item for the troops or canned good for the Family Resource Center and get entered into a raffle to win a patriotic prize! We will top off the event with a patriotic spirit contest and watermelon contest. No registration required.
