We are looking for families of all ages to come and participate in our first ever “Parking Lot Picassos” chalk drawing event. Ms. Joanne from Winters Library will read several books about community and working together to create pride in a space. After hearing the story each family will be assigned a standard parking space in our parking lot to become a space reflecting the book and whatever your family is inspired by for the day. Each team/family will get an hour to finish their creation. Once finished, a friendly panel of judges will award one team the “Golden Chalk Trophy”. There will also be other awards based on fun, light-hearted criteria! Each family will be provided 1 box of chalk, but if you feel you need more than that feel free to bring your own (must be washable). A professional artist will also be at the program displaying their own take on chalk art to inspire us!
Registration required, space limited to first 17 families
Cost: Free event
Location: Park District Headquarters
