The Bellbrook Sugarcreek Park District is collaborating with Greene County Parks and Trails to seek funding that would expand access to the Little Miami River and provide greater outdoor recreational opportunities to the public. Our agencies recently submitted a grant application to develop parcels that are currently held as undeveloped parkland.
With a combined 50 acres between Penewit Road and River Edge Circle, tentative plans include a canoe launching spot, a shelter house, hiking trails and an archery range. The park would also open 3,500 linear feet of the river for public access for water sports and fishing.
