Join a fungal enthusiast from the Ohio Mushroom Society to learn about the native mushrooms of our hardwood forests. After participants collect and document mushroom specimens, we will discuss identification methods, some of the easily identifiable edible species from our region and responsible harvesting practices, and the important roles fungi play in our forests. Pre-registration required.
Participants can also download the iNaturalist app and join the "Sweet Arrow Reserve Fungus Foray, May 2024" project to document their finds and have their specimens considered for DNA sequencing.
