Park Operations Coordinator, Jake Carter, is celebrating 3 years with the Park District! A position of many facets, you may find Jake working alongside our local athletic organizations, cutting trails at one of the reserves, or even leading an Archery program!

Jake’s passion for the outdoors started at a very young age. Beginning in high school, he started his pursuit for a career in natural resource management by taking environmental science classes which led him to Hocking College and multiple summers as a seasonal maintenance technician with the Park District. Jake’s first few summers with us were spent alongside our maintenance crew as an integral piece of cultivating Sweet Arrow Reserve into the park we all know and love now!

After three summers with the Park District, Jake spent the next few years developing his skills and expertise and returned in 2020 as a full-time maintenance staff member. We look forward to his continued unique perspectives and dedication in growing our athletic and natural resource facilities in the years to come!
